Location

This is a "gem of a location", perfectly positioned in the Mourne Mountains - the magical granite mountain range that inspired C.S Lewis as he wrote his children's book series "The Chronicles of Narnia."

Tollymore Gate is across the road from the ever changing, stunning landscape of Tollymore Forest Park.

The area also forms one of the backdrops to the hit series Game of Thrones and Tollymore Forest Park made it's mark as the Haunted Forest.

The towns of Newcastle and Castlewellan and the village of Dundrum are all only a few minutes drive from Tollymore Gate.

Belfast to Bryansford

Approximately 30 miles

Follow the signs for Newcastle via Carryduff along the A24. Pass through Temple, Ballynahinch, Seaforde. At the roundabout, which joins the A25, take the 2nd exit and head into Clough. Bear right along the A2 and at the far end of Dundrum turn right along the B180 (signposted Maghera). Bear left in Maghera and follow the signs for Bryansford. At the junction with the A50 turn right and immediately left over the main road. Bryansford is less than a mile from this junction.

Dublin to Bryansford

Approximately 85 miles

Head North along the N1 following the signs for Belfast. Continue in the direction of Swords, passing close to Dublin Airport. Pass through Drogheda, Dundalk and then Newry.

Newry to Bryansford

Approximately 20 miles

Follow signs for Belfast (A1) along the A2. Half a mile out of Newry you will arrive at a junction for the A25. Turn right along the A25 (sign-posted Rathfriland, Hilltown). After 1.2 miles you will come to a roundabout - take the 2nd exit B8 (signposted Hilltown) passing through Mayobridge and Hilltown. At the Hilltown crossroads go forward (signposted Newcastle). Half a mile later turn right along the B27. One mile later bear left along the B180 and travel along this road for 8 miles until you come to Bryansford.
